Parmigianino e Correggio: the rediscovered geniuses

Two amazing painters rediscovered thanks to two international shows hosted in Parma in 2003 and 2008… A trip through their unique works in Parma and its Province...


  • Guided tour of the historical city centre of Parma with a particular focus on the two artists; 

  • visit at the National Gallery where there will be the opportunity to admire different masterpieces such as the “Madonna di San Girolamo”, “Madonna della Scodella” and “Compianto su Cristo morto” by Correggio, and the “Schiava Turca” by Parmigianino; 

  • to follow: “Camera di San Paolo” painted by Correggio, the Cathedral and “San Giovanni” Church with their chapels (the only ones painted by the artist..); 

  • typical lunch in a downtown restaurant (drinks included). 


  •  Visit of the “Steccata” Church with its chapel painted by Parmigianino; 
  •  to follow: transfer to the enchanting medieval village of Fontanellato for the visit to the awesome Rocca Sanvitale with its room “Saletta di Diana e Atteone” magisterially painted by Parmigianino
