Ever heard about a dreamland between Milan and Parma owning 21 wines with a Denomination of Controlled Origin called Vini dei Colli Piacentini? It looks exactly like Tuscany…but that’s in Emilia Romagna and a wine tour there is a must for both connaisseurs to amateurs!


10:00 am Meet the staff person directly at the first estate, a top-notch wine production site in the beautiful hills south-east of Piacenza, the first province of Emilia-Romagna south-east of Milan. The winery is run by a couple of young entrepreneurs who fell in love with the beauty of this area and its incredible potential and set up business there with their own way of vinification: fine bubbles for the whites (Ortrugo, Pinot, Chardonnay) and the roundest elegance for the still reds (Barbera, Croatina) - a real banging start!
After a short stroll in the vineyards and a look at their cosy wine museum, it will be time for a fabulous tasting of 3-4 wines in the cellar, a true gem of sustainable innovation: a sparking Rosé Brut, a Metodo Classico (champagne like), a Riserva still red.

11:30 am Move on to the second wine estate.

11:45 am Guided visit to an authentic family-run farming estate with a tangible passion for their job and – above all - for the most traditional sparkling wines of the area such as Ortrugo and Gutturnio: a typical homemade lunch with the 3 PDO cured meats Pancetta, Coppa and Salame and a plate of tortelli on the panoramic mezzanine overlooking the vineyards at their place is the perfect way to literally taste one of the best food&wine areas of Emilia-Romagna and Italy (wine pairing included).

02:30 pm Free time for a nice walk or a short panoramic car ride along the beautifully winding ridge road: it really looks like Tuscany!

03:30 pm Head on to your last stop.

03:45 pm Meet the staff person directly at their place, a niche wine production site nearby. What you will taste here is the proof that whichever method is used, the local grape varieties can be valued at best: a surprisingly dry still Malvasia, a Pinot Noir rosé with fine bubbles and an elegant still Cabernet-Sauvignon – cheers!

05:00 pm End of activities and back to your hotel / head on to your next destination.

Cancellation policy:

  • No fee up to 8 days before the starting day;
  • From 7 days to 3 days before the tour starting date: 50% penalty;
  • 48 hours' notice: 70% penalty;
  • 24 hours' notice: 100% penalty.

  • Program: the described program may undergo minor changes in the timings and in the selection among the wine makers and according to availability
  •  Pick-ups: If you choose the car+driver option the price is calculated considering a pick-up from Bologna or immediate surroundings (max 15 Km). Pick-ups from other locations can be purchased with a surcharge to be agreed upon by email request
  • Our drivers are NOT driver-guides, since this kind of professional profile is forbidden by the Italian law.
  • Guide: the tour does not include a private guide: each visit is run directly by the producer
  • It is not guaranteed to see the craftsmen at work at every production: being artisanal and not industrial products, the working cycle is not repeated every day at the same time (eg. Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, wine making, Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello)
