  • In the protected area of the Parco dei Boschi di Carrega is produced the “King of Cheeses” according to ancient artisan traditions. The company itself has adopted respectful agricultural methods in tune with the environment, thus taking care of the entire production chain.
  • The new dairy of Montecoppe has been designed by Guido Canali, an international renowned architect, and you will admire the perfect blend between ancient and modern with the surrounding landscapes.
  • The building has been studied to promote its didactic function and to allow the visit from above of the production rooms of Parmigiano Reggiano, respecting work, hygiene and safety.
  • The dairy tour includes a visit to the stables, the dairy, the mold deposit and the final tasting of different ageings.

Duration: 2 hrs

Departure time: ideally 8.30 am from Parma

Meeting point: Directly at the "caseificio" (if selfdrive) OR Your downtown hotel / Train Station (if transportation selected)

Cancellation policy: 

  • No fee up to 8 days before the starting day;
  • From 7 days to 3 days before the tour starting date: 50% penalty;
  • 48 hours' notice: 70% penalty;
  • 24 hours' notice: 100% penalty.

Inclusions:

  • Dairy Staff at disposal for the guided tour (2 hours);
  • guided visit to the Montecoppe dairy of Parmigiano Reggiano and mold deposit;
  • guided visit to the stables; 
  • tasting of different ageings of Parmigiano Reggiano paired to a glass of wine.

Exclusions: 

  • Everything not mentioned in the inclusions;
  • private transportion service if NOT selected.
