The Carpigiani University was established in 2003 by ice-cream machine maker Carpigiani to help ice cream-making entrepreneurs and home cooks eager to make their own frozen treats to learn the basics of making gelato.

Whether you're a culinary master or just an enthusiastic foodie, this class is the perfect combination of mouth-watering gelato and entertaining, hands-on instruction. Enjoy an insightful presentation and a taste of some of the ingredients that go into traditional and more novel flavours of gelato. Learn how to produce cream-based or fruit-based gelatos that can be sugar-free and even dairy-free thanks to the use of soy or rice milk.

Follow your instructor step-by-step and learn about the development and application of natural colours, as well as the heating and freezing techniques that go into creating this much-loved dessert. End your experience on a high note as you savour a spoonful—or more!—of your own rich and creamy gelato.

  • From 7 days to 3 days before the tour starting date: 50% penalty;
